It was our dearest Ailing’s birthday and the plan was simple. Surprise her at midnight with a cake and book a hotel room for a day without her knowledge. With that, John, Kenny, Baoling, Serene and I met up at Chua Chu Kang (After collaborating with her friend to drive her back home by midnight). I wouldnt want to go into details, but the first part was relatively successful. Now comes the tricky part. If Aiai doesnt know that we booked a hotel room for her, doesnt that mean she would not bring any clothing to change? Hmm.. Tough? Of course we got it covered. We went to her room and the girls did all the stealing! Oh, and did I mention that although it was meant for her, but someone else wore them in the end? Just follow through the photos and you will get what I mean.

I am back to eating this brand of instant noodles again. Simply the best in the market. The noodles are tangy and QQ plus the soup base (MSG) is spicy yet endurable.
I do not have a choice, considering that I am broke to my undies and I prefer cooked instant noodles to raw grass. Weekends are so boring now, ever since.. Haiz.. I miss the busy weekends, the gatherings, the gossips, the bitching and..

Today is another typical Saturday again, except that I am on recall manning. You know, sometimes when you watch TV and these irritating tiny green soldiers suddenly appear on top of the screen and keep blinking? Yeah, that’s what it is. The purpose of this is to ensure that we are on high alert at all times. Crap. The real reason is, they are helping us to save money as we have to put off all our plans!

I waited and waited and waited.. Scraped my plan to go babe watching and sun tanning at Sentosa, wanted to cancel my movie appointment with Deuce Bigalow but in the end, f*** it. I went to catch that movie since Kenny read the weather report stating that there will be thunderstorms in the afternoon. Well.. All I can say is, I almost melted in the heat! Hahaha..

Talking about Mr Kenny, he will be taking his practical 8 again tomorrow. Go for it Kenny! You better pass this time round man. You are running of things to blame already! First, you claimed that it was the lack of practice, then it was the number, next the instructor. Let me help you with it. Erm.. How about blaming the helmet or the tyres this time round? Whatever it is, you wont catch me anywhere near the driving centre during your test! Hahaha..

On a serious note, I really wish you can pass this time round. All the best bro!

Once in a while, you come across a movie that is both inspiring and touching. "Goal" is one such movie. The plot is not fantastic and it might not win the best picture, but it certainly brings out effectively what it wanted to portray. As the title suggests, goal is the only destination, or rather, soccer is the only destination. It leaves you wondering at the end of the show, "what drives me?"

The show is about this unknown chap, Santiago Munez who lives in LA. His greatest passion is soccer and he is a talented player with superb technique. An ex scout happened to see him in action. He was visibly impressed and tried all means to help him to secure a trial with Newcastle United. He met with some difficulties along the way, but as the saying goes, the rest is history.

I particularly like the part when the manager was not pleased because Munez refused to pass the ball to his team mates. He asked him over, kicked the ball high up and away from him, and asked him to sprint to retrieve the ball before it drops to the ground. But each time, he failed. The rationale behind it? The ball moves faster then a person and blah blah blah..

Now, back to "What drives me?" Munez refused to give up when his father reacted negatively to his dream and even stole the money that he has scrimped and saved in order to buy an air ticket to get to England. However, his grandmother was supportive and used her savings to buy an air ticket for him. Although he was turned away several times by the club, he came back stronger. He showed his determination and when his father passed away, he decided not to go back to LA because he wanted to prove his father wrong. The moral of the story. If everyone of us harbors a dream with passion, grit and determination, the impossible can become possible. But at the same time, how many of us can actually say that we have tried our best?

Anyway, I just finished watching this screening at J8 like 2 hours ago? Here are a few pictures taken just now. Oh ya. And I wasnt very happy with something that I saw.
