A few issues here.. Firstly, Happy 21st Birthday to Kat and I wish her all the best! I know she will be reading this. Remember what I told you alright? Secondly, I always love to dig out my previous entries whenever my friends need them. This is an excerpt from a Nicholas Sparks novel.

'You are stronger than you think you are, but only if you want to be. It isn't easy, but you must understand that I'm not talking about your emotions. Those you can't control. You're still going to cry, you're still going to have moments when you don't feel you can go on. But you have to act as if you can. At a time like this, actions are just about the only things you can control.'

A few days ago, I came across this interesting couple when I was working. They are from this astrology company and for some reason or so, they extended their expertise to a few of us who were working at that time. I then approached them and before I could say anything, the guy said, "You must be a Gemini". Spot on.

They then said that I am an emotional person and I am always thinking about money.

That I am a charmer when it comes to girls. (I wish..)

He also said that I am an inquisitive person who thinks too much. I should learn to relax by setting aside 10 minutes everyday just by lying down and listening to music. If not, I will become senile by the time I hit 40. Hahaha..

He also added that I will change jobs quite frequently and I will travel a lot. I have a tendency to marry a foreigner as well. Hahaha..

However, I should avoid dating girls whose birthday falls on or adds up to 2, 4 or 8. (Be it 2, 4, 13, 26 or whatever.) I will be very affected by these relationships and it might ultimately lead to a break up. However, if I do marry the girl that falls into this category, my kid will be very smart. Hahaha..

The best girl for me should be an Aquarius or Pisces, whose birthday does not fall into that category.

Although they were freaking accurate about some of the stuffs, I still believe that no one can predict the future. We are in control of our fate and destiny and whatever happens, we should be responsible for it. No matter how much discouragement I get from everyone around me, I still believe that we can create our own paths. Sometimes, a word from one person outweighs an avalanche of comments from hundreds of people. Similarly, a decision made by one person can make or break a bond that's not strong but true.

I realised that my life has become rather mundane ever since I started work. Theoretically speaking, I am only working 8 hours a day. But when you are doing shift work, it disrupts your sleeping pattern and you lose track of time. It also narrows your social life and seeps away your energy.

Anyway, I was reading this book when I came across this.

'We imagined that by staring into each other's eyes we would be able to read the signs of infidelity in each other, but our attempts always ended in laughter and renewed rituals of loyalty. There were rules: snogging counted. Future crushes of a temporary nature were to be half expected, mentally indulged, and then overcome. Any more prolonged or significant desires were to be confessed to the other in an attempt to ward off development.'

One word came to my mind. Committment.

In a relationship, we would inevitably encounter a third person who seems to make our hearts flutter and infatuated. The thing is, is that person worth giving up everything for? Is it a moment of madness or is that person the one that you are looking for? Or have you forgotten the precious times that you and your other half used to spend together? Questions aplenty, but answers are few.

Wake me up when September ends.

Wake me up when October ends.

Wake me up when November ends.

Because that's when I want it to be.

I woke up at noon today, switched on my TV and it was showing Miss Teen USA Live. I like watching beauty pagents. Other than the swimsuit segment, the Q&A segment is one of the highlights as well.

Well, not exactly. I think the only highlight is the swimsuit segment. Hahaha.. Then again, the organisers should consider changing the name of the Q&A segment to maybe the Kill or Ace segment. Its hilarious how answers to simple questions can be. I mean, its ok to give a politically correct answer. But its another thing to give the sun when they ask for the moon. or whatever.. Haha.. I think they left their brains in their boobs.

One of the contestants received this question from the judges. 'What does integrity means to you?' Her answer was.. 'Integrity means that when a person is driven and will go all out to achieve the thing that he wants.'

For your information, this is what I found for integrity.

1. adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty.

Well, to be fair to her, being driven and going all out might be considered as one of the principles. Anyway, thanks Miss whatever state for lightening up my mood..

Hey people, I know it has been a while since I blogged and I am not exactly in the best of moods now. Nevertheless, just a quick update.

For those of you who are living in the North Pole, I have been working at TCC as a management trainee since 21 August 06. My outlet is situated at Boat Quay and I hope to see you guys there!

I had a bad day at work yesterday. Under different circumstances, I would have explained myself. But I didn't even bother to explain my mistakes because at work, a mistake is a mistake. Simple as that.

To top it up, I received a letter of acceptance as well as a USD 5000 scholarship offer from the Australia International Hotel School (AIHS). It may be great news to many, but my situation is different. If someone asks me whether I still want to continue studying, it's a no-brainer. However, there are so many considerations and questions marks in my head. Should I or should I not?

I went to watch 'The Devil Wears Prada' today. I like that show. It was bitchy but witty, a meaningful chick flick. In life, it's all about making decisions. Sometimes, temptations disrupt your way of living and simplicity becomes non-existence. Nobody wants regrets in life. Look it in another way. What if you knew that the thing you have always wanted might never have a happy ending? Will you still choose that path? If you have faith, everything's going to be alright. That's what someone told me.
