We often find ourselves wondering, 'Why is life so complicated'? When we were young, sweets were the most rewarding treat (we did not have to worry about tooth decay), toys come at no cost (our parents paid for them), truth is the only thing that we were allowed to say (we would be deemed as a naughty child if we told lies), friends were friends (there is no need to worry about motives), playing means the world to us (injury and dangerous were not in our dictionary) and feeling troubled were the least of our worries (our parents acted as protective shields).
Life was so simple back then, until complication seeps in.
Because of it, we have to choose our friends carefully.
Because of it, there are office politics.
Because of it, we keep worrying about supporting ourselves.
Because of it, crimes are on the rise.
Because of it, we become realistic and materialistic.
Because of it, educational attainment is god damn important.
Because of it, we have to hurt people to achieve our aims.
It is because of complication that you reject someone that who holds you dear, only to lose her later and find out that she is the one you actually love.
Imagine life as clear waters and complication is accumulated fine sand. Wouldnt it be wonderful if we could see everything clearly in the waters? I think we have only ourselves to blame. We are the one who makes things complicated. We are the culprits who put the blame for our own mistakes on situational disadvantages. We are the stupid ones who doesn't know how to treasure the things we own. And we are the same people who choose our paths, only to regret our decisions later.
And you might be thinking.. If things were simpler, then brains would be useless.
