The tree is often a symbol of strength and wisdom. No matter how hard the wind blows, how much the rain slaps and how the sun blasts, it stays firm and refuses to budge. It matures with age and grows from strength to strength. Sometimes, the branches might break and the leaves get detached, but it is difficult to uproot a tree.

If only humans can be like trees. Have you ever wished that you could turn back time? To retract all the things said and done? All of us knows that its impossible. We have to face the reality, to solve the problems and to be firm in our convictions.

This week has been rather dull. Or should I say lull week for me. Only 3 small events in the entire week but I am not complaining as I will start to get busy from next week onwards with a spate of events. I told myself that I should try to get home as early as I can for this week and enjoy while it lasts. Unfortunately, my laptop is sick again, for the 5th time in 6 months. I cant access Internet Explorer and it is also suffering from an extremely bad sore throat. I cant hear any sound at all.

I am very excited about my new purchases! To all.. I am addicted to Zara shirts and I have been to Zara Marina Square, Zara Vivo City and Zara Great World City in just one week! However, being the discliplined and perhaps cash stricken person like I have always been, I just bought one shirt and put all the rest under my shortlist. Haha..

Next up is the M1 Vodafone Modem. For just $48 per month, you can virtually access the internet anywhere under the sun! I just configured it and it now works perfectly fine! I am so going to cancel my Max Online by this week!

As for the new pair of specs, my boss commented that I should get a new one for work as I need to meet people everyday. He said that my cute black frame plastic specs makes me look like a little boy. Haha.. And so he goes on and on, and insisted that I get a new one and he will bear the cost. So spoof! I have a new pair of specs!! Kar and my colleagues like my new 'corporate' look but kar's friends apparently don't think so. Haha.. But whatever, as long as I am happy!

40 days...

Hey peeps! I am back into the scene! Rumour has it that Roger got washed off the beach and left stranded for 2 months in an remotely secluded island with only a ball named Wilson. The fact is, he got stranded in a place surrounded by inedible durians and full of shit. But nevertheless, the shit has been cleared. For now.

I took a well deserved break over the weekend and I had fun with my friends as well. For those of you who forgot my birthday YESTERDAY, better wish me a belated birthday! I just called Richmond and Lee Teng to remind them just now! Haha.. Anyway, special thanks to all my friends who sent their wishes and of course, not forgetting Kar, who sang me a birthday song and delievered a cake to my house. Thanks sweetheart. That was the only cake I received this year and I didnt even get to blow any candles.. :(

Bernard accompanied me for the whole of Friday and we went singing before going to the MPH sale at Singapore Expo. I seriously couldnt find any books that I fancy so we continued walking until we saw the branded goods sale! Despite being the disciplined shopper that I have always been, BERNARD tempted me to buy 4 tops from there! Well, we shared actually. He got 4 himself as well. Hahaha.. We meet Ser, Susan and Hazel in the evening, spent 2 hours at Settlers before slacking away at Starbucks and Mac. Bernard got the most out it as he was kept busy with a young girl with EXTREMELY BIG BOOBS and was contempleting whether his head or her boobs were bigger. I hope Lj doesnt see this. I was tempted to ask her for the address. Didnt know they sell such big watermelons in Singapore.

I stayed in the whole of yesterday afternoon before meeting my colleagues at Boat Quay for dinner. Kenny webcammed with me from Phuket and I could see that John and him was having a whale of a time in the hotel room with the satisfied look on his face. After meeting my colleagues for dinner, we proceeded to Party World and then St James. By the end of the night, or rather, the wee hours of the morning, everyone was drunk and I had to sneak off because it was getting quite ridiculous and rowdy. Haha..

It has been a while since I last blogged. I have been kept busy with work ever since Phantom of the Opera started. It was rather tough during the first week, staying till the wee hours of the morning before knocking off. However, as tough as it can be, I have found a new bunch of fun loving part timers who never fails to amaze me with their antics. Just yesterday, they bought me something to eat on their way to work knowing that I wouldnt have the time to eat. Lovely. Before the reception started yesterday, I asked one of them to bring out the lamb for me. After a while, he came out with a lamp. I just filpped and collapsed into laughter. Haha.. As it was my off day today, I played soccer with them and............................... sprained my ankle. :(

Kar has been gone for a month and I miss her terribly. Just went to visit her family and Huskiee today. Huskiee was so happy to see me and I played with him for a while. I had wanted to kiss him, but then he ate his own shit and I decided against it. I really don't know what to do with this dog.

I went to Cafe Del Mar with my collegues yesterday. As we ended work at about 11 plus, we went home to change first before heading down and we stayed till 6am in the morning. I quite like the idea of having beds and sofas on the beach. Except that the beds and sofas were damp from the rain yesterday. Yucks.


All that I am thinking now are just random thoughts. At work, I cannot afford to display my weak side to others. I need to take things in my stride and even if I cannot take it, I have to show them that I can. Some people are so conceited. So people are so egoistic. Some people are so irresponsible. Its just so fake, the world out there.

As I am typing this, my dear Karmene is taking her branch nap and Champ is barking non-stop downstairs. He is starting to get on my nerves. Its a lazy Thursday morning with heavy rain and I am on leave today. I decided to switch off my phone after being scolded by my boss for nothing.

She will be taking a red eye flight later tonight. I wonder which one of us is having a harder time accepting the fact that the dreaded day is here. I know the next 5 months will be tough without her and with my workload increasing by the day. If only someone can sponsor me to go China after Phantom of the Opera. Hahaha..

After repeated protests and strikes, I have decided to come out of my shell. My shell has been filled with work ever since December and life has been silpping away from me. I fell sick last week. Down with flu and cough. But heck, Its Chinese New Year and I have a well-deserved 2 days break!! Anyway, to everyone who sees this post, you are invited to my house on the 1st day of CNY, which is tomorrow!! Please do come between 5pm to 9pm. I will be dropping by Kar's house and my boss's house before coming home.

Dear Susan and Co, I won't be available on the 2nd day as I will be working. Any invites for mahjong sessions or outings will have to come after 2nd day!!
